Connecting older isolated people with art and creativity through the post.

Our Mail Art Exchange Project was set up to support older, isolated adults who are not able to access other services due to Covid-19 Lockdown Restrictions or other health factors.

Launched in November 2020, Culture Buddies connected older Stockport residents to a volunteer ‘buddy’ with whom they begin a creative exchange through the post - you can find out more on our About page.  

Caroline Coates, lead artist on the project, supported our volunteer ‘buddies’ and participants to create together.  “ I am really excited about Culture Buddies. By buddying up we will create artist collaborations to further develop art forms you love or learn something completely new. ”
